Ted F. Glisson holds a 2nd degree Black Belt in Chang Moo Kwan (Tae Kwon Do) and Hapkido, and is the founder of T.E.D.S. (Tactical Evolution Defense System). He has been in law enforcement since 1990, a veteran of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Dept., where he is currently assigned to Street Operations, and also co-founder and Team Commander of the Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. Team. He also is a certified firearms instructor and Chief defensive and edged weapon instructor for the department. During his tenure with the department he has served a two year assignment with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Squad. He has over 30 years experience in martial arts. He has attended various officer survival schools including F.B.I. and F.L.E.T.C. (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center).

T.E.D.S. is a compilation of combatives and techniques that he has trained with and taught for years. What he tries to show and expose to individuals is that T.E.D.S. is a way, not the only way for CQC operators whether you are law enforcement, military, or just John Q. Citizen trying to defend yourself.

This website along with the DVD listed on our video section will guide anyone seeking realistic, real world fighting proficiency. The combatives and techniques taught through T.E.D.S. are simplistic, functional and easily learned. The system is based on stopping the delivery system, which is based on 3 simple steps: (1). Stop it/Direct it (2). Wrap/Trap it and (3) Attack/Eliminate it.

T.E.D.S. is intended to teach those who are looking for a simplistic method of combatives that will be most effective in any spontaneous assault. This system was not developed for sportsmen, or mystics searching for that special technique. It is certainly not for anyone who believes that the only combat knowledge to be found must come from the orient.

This site is dedicated to all the warriors whether you are law enforcement, military, or just law abiding citizens. The number one rule to survival is “no matter how bad it gets, no matter what the situation is never, never give up.”
